Instructions for the Webcourse Site
If you are in my Econ 309 or Econ 409 class, you need a free Webcourse account.
Here’s what you do:
1. Go to http://www.dennishalcoussis.com/webcourse/
2. Click on “login” towards the bottom of the page.
3. Read the instructions and click "Create new account."
4. Fill out the required information. (Be sure to use your real name and a valid email address.)
5. You will recieve an email with "Web Course: account confirmation" in the subject line. Click the link in the email. This will open up a screen that confirms your registration. Click on the button that says "courses." Next click on the course you are taking.
6. Next you will need the password referred to as the “enrollment key.” This was announced the first day of class. If you are registered in the class but don’t know it, you can email me at dhalcoussis@gmail.com, be sure to give me your name as it is listed on the class roster. Enter the enrollment key and click on "enrol me in this course."
7. Click on "profile" and then click on the tab that says "edit profile." Choose the setting you want under "email display" and fill in the required information. The website requires you to put something in the description box; if you don’t want to write anything, just type a random letter from your keyboard.
8. Click “update profile.”
9. You will see your profile information. Click on the name of your course on the upper left. If you want more detailed information on using WebCourse, the manual is here (the software for the site is called Moodle.)
